Where and when
9.30 – 12.30
Design management is a nascent field of research. In this 3rd seminar the field is shortly outlined. Key issues are presented by help of two on-going research programs. “D2i – Design to innovate” is a practice driven research program focusing on design for innovation and growth. The overall aim of D2i is presented by head of D2i secretariat – Thit Juul Madsen, Kolding School of Design. The aim, themes and activities of the analytical unit are presented by Poul Rind Christensen, IER. A beta version of a model on organizations’ design capacity is shortly presented and participants at the seminar are invited to discuss prospects of the model. Read more about the project here.
“Design2Network” is a network based research program focusing on design as a platform for supplier driven innovation. The aim of the program and current research themes are presented by Kristin B. Munksgaard, head of program, IER. Anne Louise Bang, Kolding School of Design, will demonstrate the role of design as a collaborative platform based on a study in the Danish textile industry. More information on the project can be found here.
